Quality Management Assistant
Location: Sizewell B Power Station
Pay Rate: £16.31 to £16.91 p/h
Hours: 37 hours per week
To provide year-round contractor support to the EDF Energy Quality Management Group primarily for Emergency Preparedness, and supporting both Industrial Safety, and Fire Safety.
Responsibilities are outlined in the technical competency section.
Technical Competences:
Conduct routine surveillance tests (STPs) in accordance with the EDF emergency plan equipment operability technical specification programme, and report any shortfalls identified via the correct reporting channels.
Use a wide range IT based software (i.e., be comfortable using word, e-mail/internet).
Support the stations emergency exercise program at the direction of the emergency preparedness engineer, as per the Quality plan for emergency exercises.
Perform safety walks as a member of the Quality Management group.
Undertake general safety support activities and routines at the direction of either the Emergency Preparedness Engineer, Fire Safety Coordinator and Conventional Safety Compliance coordinator e.g., delivering training, event investigation & follow-up, implementing actions to improve work area safety.
Take an active position within the Industrial Safety team during refuelling/forced outages, covering shift work as required.Enhanced duties of the post may also require the ability to:
Conduct specialist safety assessments for the station including (manual handling assessments, display screen equipment assessments, safety harness instructors course Level II, safety harness fall arrest lines examination and inspection, ladder Inspections, life-jacket inspections and maintenance).
