Appoint Consulting is proud to be working with a well-established, forward-thinking legal firm to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their team in Barton Upon Humber or Scunthorpe.
Key duties and responsibilities for the Residential Conveyancer:
* Build up on caseload of files
* Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions
* Conduct title searches
* Provide advice and guidance to clients regarding property laws & regulations
* Undertake certain elements of fee-earning work under supervision
* Completion of client questionnaires
* Drafting of petition/court documentation
* Deputise for fee earners in their absence if necessary, passing urgent issues to another senior fee earner for guidance (if a small team)
* Seek assistance whenever appropriate from Partner/colleagues in respect of unusual or difficult problems/issues arising in any cases
* Contribute towards your own self-development and attend training arranged for you
* Provide support to other fee earners as required
* Report immediately to the Partner on any issue/complaint re: professional conduct and/or client dissatisfaction and/or potential negligence or negative cost implications for the firm
* Promote good relations with other members of staff and facilitate teamwork
