Usher
• Partnership between Firstsite and Curzon launching June 2017
• Ushers needed for new programme of films and screenings
• Newly renovated, state of the art auditorium at Firstsite
Based in Colchester, Firstsite is the East of England's leading visual arts organisation. Over the past 20 years we have been presenting contemporary art to local, national and international audiences, supported by an integrated programme of creative events and learning activities - from drop-in sessions to craft courses, screenings and talks. Our iconic Rafael Viñoly designed building opened to the public in September 2011.
June 2017 will see the launch of an exciting partnership between Firstsite and Colchester's future art-house cinema, Curzon. Our already impressive film programme will undergo expansion to include a myriad of viewing opportunities. From family favourites and popular classics to live screenings from National Theatre Live and Bolshoi Ballet, all showing in our state of the art auditorium, we pride ourselves on offering an inclusive and vibrant viewing experience.
If you are 16 or over, interested in film and the arts in general, and would like to get involved with Firstsite, we are expanding our volunteering opportunities to include dedicated ushering positions.
