EFI is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Nozomi Business Unit in UK (Nottingham-Leicester-Derby Area), focusing on our packaging Printing solutions.

What you will do:
* Provide on-site setup and installation of all EFI industrial inkjet Nozomi printers, including working with the customer regarding pre-installation requirements and assisting in unloading components for the print system.
* Un-crate the controller, print heads, remote cabinets, and UV components, checking electrical power and compressed air while working with a Certified Electrician, performing initial setup and adjustment, and thoroughly testing the printer.
* Provide initial and ongoing formal customer operator and printer maintenance training, coordinating based on customer needs and assessing training requirements.
* Provide periodic on-site troubleshooting and repairs on printers experiencing complex electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic problems as directed by Field Service Manager or EFI Inkjet customer support team.
* Provide detailed technical feedback via the EFI Inkjet Case Management System (CMS) during and after each customer visit.
* This role will include travel up to 75% of the work week, with occasional weekend work to meet customer needs.
* Work remotely with customers to accurately identify equipment issues and provide technical information and repair guidance.
* Participate in after-hours support activities on a rotating basis.
This role might be a good fit if you:
* Have a minimum 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
* Have a minimum of 2 years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices and high-demand customer locations.
* Possess customer management skills and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
* Can demonstrate the ability to independently manage a large service territory, including effective management of assets (parts, tools, company information).
* Can demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the component level.
* Have the ability to provide telephone technical support and effectively communicate with Product Service Engineers (Hardware and Applications).
* Possess a working knowledge of RIPS and color theory; knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems is preferred.
* Have a working knowledge of materials and chemicals used in the printing industry, which is highly desirable.
* Possess in-depth knowledge of personal computers, industrial inkjet printers, large format printers, and/or presses and printing applications, which is highly desirable.
* Have knowledge of high and low voltage wiring, with the capability of identifying and qualifying single-phase as well as three-phase power requirements.
* Ability to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, including using critical alignment tools holding tolerances of .001”.
