The Governors of Holy Trinity Academy are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced full time Pastoral Support Officer.
We are seeking someone organised, enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated with the ability to communicate effectively with young people, their family and internal and external colleagues, developing good relationships and partnerships. Working in a busy school environment, you will be a part of the Pastoral Team providing a comprehensive pupil welfare service to the school with specific responsibility for assisting teaching and support staff in providing a safe, orderly and secure environment for students and staff and to play a key role in the management of positive behaviour and attitudes amongst students of all ages and abilities. The post holder will also become a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The school has a clear vision on its journey to place Holy Trinity as a beacon of educational excellence and have the Gospel values at the heart of the community it serves. Every detail of Holy Trinity’s distinctive character has been directed towards promoting the culture and vision of a Christ-centred community focused on the experience of ‘life in all its fullness’ for each individual.
The Ofsted inspection, in May 2023, deemed Holy Trinity as a ‘GOOD’ school. It stated “There is a culture of care and respect at Holy Trinity Academy where everyone is valued for who they are. Pupils feel safe and many praise the pastoral care they receive. Pupils are clear about the high expectations staff have of their behaviour.”
We aim to inspire and equip pupils to achieve their potential by enhancing their confidence and achievement in all subjects.
Holy Trinity Academy is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children and young people. The appointment will be subject to enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance for the successful applicant and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
The post holder will be involved in Regulated Activity.
We are committed to equality and diversity.
