As an Engineering Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will be embedded into the SSBN Projects in Clyde. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with the submarine engineering team in developing solutions to engineering challenges.
* Help to derive the maintenance requirements and support acceptance throughout the project lifecycle
* Answer and support technical queries emerging from the projects
* Own risk and mitigating actions either by yourself or by reaching back to Subject Matter Experts
* Provide project assurance through technical and gate reviews
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3-4 days in the office/onsite and 1-2 days working from home.
* Experience in aspects production and project delivery or submarine engineering
* Be familiar with project and risk management techniques
* Able to manage a complex workload with challenging deadlines
* Ability to work well with small teams as well as a wider groups of stakeholders. Fostering teamwork and collaboration
Qualifications for the Engineering Manager:
* Level 6 qualification in Engineering
* Chartered Engineer
