Shift Maintenance Engineer - Belfast - Salary £45300 (36 Hour Week)

Your New Role
As a Shift Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and ensure that all facilities are maintained in optimum condition to meet required standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. You will undertake various planned and reactive maintenance tasks and work as part of the maintenance team in a varied and fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
1. Complete planned repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with the Computerised Maintenance Monitoring system to prevent breakdowns and maintain optimal operation of equipment.
2. Complete breakdowns in accordance with the Computerised Maintenance Monitoring system, reporting daily to ensure minimal disruption to production requirements.
3. Ensure maintenance work backlogs are actively cleared with overtime working as necessary.
4. Sourcing, identifying, and ordering spare parts when required to minimise downtime with specific repairs.
5. Awareness of energy usage, particularly when machines are idling, to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint.
6. Supervise contractors as required to ensure Health and Safety compliance.
7. Train other stakeholders to develop Standard Operating Procedures and planned maintenance.
8. Ensure compliance and maintain up-to-date records for various safety tests and audits.
9. Travel to multi-site facilities as requested to complete maintenance requirements.
10. Carry out all maintenance work in compliance with Health and Safety and statutory regulations.
11. Monitor all aspects of internal Health and Safety relating to day-to-day operations and suggest improvements.
12. Report all non-compliance of contractors to ensure standards are met.
13. Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses as they arise.
14. Ensure Personal Protection Equipment is maintained and correctly worn.
15. Communicate any major or recurring issues immediately and update the status regularly.
Role Accountabilities

What You'll Need To Succeed
We are looking for multi-skilled maintenance professionals, ideally with experience in a production environment. You must be time-served electrically or mechanically and have at least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in a similar position. Educated to HND level is also required.
What You'll Get In Return
A 36-hour week pays £45,300 (£24.20 per hour) with overtime at time and a half. The company has a shift pattern over 5 weeks, providing 2 weeks off in the middle, and a generous sick pay scheme.
