Role Description Carry out site surveys as required by the work instruction Undertake thorough, investigative utility surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures Liaising with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, clients Create Utility Survey Reports Carry out appropriate quality control checks before drawings issued to customer Mentor and train less experienced surveyors Gathering data to produce mapping information of underground and overground supply services. Complete core on site detecting and mapping activities required for underground utility surveys including Ground Penetrating Radar (high and low frequency), GPR in Mark-out Mode. Leading and coordinating field teams on site Overseeing technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery Ability to undertake PAS128 Surveys · Must be self-motivated, have the ability to follow instructions and to work on their own initiative. Requirements Skills & Attributes Previous experience working as a Utility Surveyor, ideally with supervisory experience. Advanced skills in the use of Electromagnetic and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment. Good knowledge and understanding of utility provider drawings Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility mapping and GPR Knowledge of Topographical Surveying equipment beneficial but not essential Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys A full UK driving licence Right to work in the UK Experience of carrying out training of other staff Ability to work away from home occasionally Previous experience in post-processing GPR data is desirable NVQ Level 3 or 5 qualification is beneficial but not essential.
