The Role
We are looking for an experienced research manager or product owner to own the methodology and delivery of our Evident AI Index for Banking. An Index Researcher (titled Index Owner at Evident) is responsible for deeply understanding the sector they work in, owning our AI index methodology, and ensuring the successful delivery of our Index products through high quality data and research.
Reporting to the VP Innovation, you will work closely with our Research and Data teams to identify trends in AI adoption and create the metrics that allow us to quantify the progress of an entire industry.
This role would suit someone who has experience in running medium-long term research projects that involve desktop research, working with a data team, and implementing good data quality practices.
Key Responsibilities
Working with the VP Innovation and Data team on defining the methodology and timelines of the ranking
Understanding the core needs of AI in the banking and wider financial services sector
Ownership of the Index methodology, and the subject matter expert for any queries from clients or third parties
Accurate and comprehensive documentation of the Index, updates, and ongoing discussions
Contributing to the research process through desktop research and review
Ensuring the quality of the data collected during our collection process and driving forward best practices and processes
Liaising with the Client Services, Intelligence, and Business development teams on methodology and results of the Index
Working with the Data and Engineering teams on delivering the final output of our ranking to our online platform
Core Skills
3+ years of research, project management or consulting experience, such as:
Conducting research and analysis about financial services and emerging technologies at a market research company or media company.
Consulting for financial services companies on topics such as AI and digital transformation.
Working at a think tank, in policy research or in academia.
Strong qualitative research skills with previous experience of desktop research and working with survey or third party datasets
Strong analysis skills and experience using large datasets in spreadsheets in spreadsheets or other tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders
Project management experience and comfortable defining a project, setting timelines and running research and feedback meetings
An interest in technology, digitalisation and/or AI (professional or personal).
Nice to have
Understanding of the key issues facing leadership teams in financial services on topics. related to artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
Experience working with data scientists, engineers and/or product teams.
Experience in analysing large datasets and using visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker.
Experience with or desire to learn basic scripting in either SQL or Python
