As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will manage, develop, and lead the team of In-House hygiene technicians safely and effectively whilst driving behavioural safety within the team to achieve and maintain a ‘Audit Ready Standards’ approach to site cleaning standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Have ownership of responsibilities and ensure team members clearly understand their daily tasks.
2. Create a positive and safe working environment for the team.
3. Report daily issues, including personnel, to supervisors in a timely manner.
4. Ensure all staff understand and follow procedures throughout the factory.
5. Take ownership of duties in the assigned area, including machinery, personnel training, and daily hygiene cleaning documents.
Summary of Duties:
1. Through QR Code system, deliver unsafe condition and unsafe behavioral audits with actions 3 per week per Team Leader.
2. Achieve a 'right first time' clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols.
3. Control hygiene team members to ensure they wear PPE at all times.
4. Identify and report any issues to the Hygiene Supervisor.
5. Complete related documents and records timely and accurately.
6. Ensure hygiene operatives are following correct cleaning guidelines as per CIC.
7. Manage hygiene staff to ensure proactive and safe job performance.
8. Conduct start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report damages.
9. Supervise allocated hygiene staff to ensure efficient task completion.
10. Maintain cleanliness of factory production areas throughout the day.
11. Arrange interim cleaning of work surfaces, including chiller shelving and chopping boards.
12. Actively participate in deep cleans and manage hygiene factory documents.
13. Ensure smooth operation of tray wash machine and conveyors, providing clean trays for production.
14. Understand hygiene key inspection points from CIC.
15. Prioritize hygiene duties and report issues to the Hygiene Supervisor.
16. Report any Health and Safety issues or accidents immediately.
17. Maintain a positive working environment through engagement.
18. Adhere to COSHH regulations and safely handle chemicals.
19. Replenish chemicals and consumables as required.
20. Cover for the Hygiene Supervisor in their absence.
21. Lead by example with a smart, professional approach.
22. Complete any reasonable tasks required by management.
23. Maintain factory documentation, including CIC, timesheets, and cleaning sign-off records.
