A 21 hr Duty Officer position has arisen for any enthusiastic, hardworking person who wishes to join the management team at Abergele Leisure Centre
This is an ideal opportunity for any experienced relief duty officer who has ambitions to progress to more senior management roles within Ffit Conwy’s Leisure Department.
The successful applicant will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and will be willing to assist senior management in developing and promoting an exciting and innovative leisure programme. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, financial procedures, pool plant operations, rotas and supervising multiple teams located at Abergele Leisure Centre
Furthermore, the successful applicant will have or be working towards the following qualifications.
• Safeguarding
• IOSH Managing Safely
• NVQ 3 / 4 Leisure / Business Management,
• NVQ 2 / 3 Gym Instructor,
• National Pool Plant Operators Certificate
Having the ability to show experience in working within a team environment and also being able to demonstrate the capability of working on your own initiative will be advantages.
Good communication skills in English are essential, along with a friendly positive attitude. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
The job will be on a fixed 3 week rota basis and will include working 1 weekend in 3, as well as a night shift and day shifts every week.
