Job summary An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse has become available on our Busy 18 bedded Haematology Ward. We are offering the Band 5 position with training to administer chemotherapy, care for post transplant patients and triage calls on the Acute Oncology Helpline We welcome applications from both experienced Band 5 nurses and newly qualified. Main duties of the job As a Band 5 nurse you will be required to look after an allocation of patients including: Admission, holistic care needs, complex care needs, pre and post chemotherapy administartion care, caring for post stem cell transplant patients, arranging outpatinets appointments, followup appointmnets and discharge Establishing working relationships with our dedicated clinical nurse specialist teams, doctors and consultants reporting to the nurse in charge and liasing with the multidisplinary teams, involved in care on the ward.
