Job Description:
You will help provide the highest level of publishing administration services for our songwriters, looking after copyrights, royalties, and assisting other departments. You will be responsible for summarising agreements, maintaining and creating clients on the copyright database, and communication with the PRS. You will work closely with the company's copyright and royalty teams to ensure songwriters and composers receive payment for their compositions used commercially. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of copyright, royalties, and music publishing, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
* Provide top-tier publishing administration services for our artists, clients, and internal departments.
* Summarise and input agreements into the administration database, including royalty rates, contact info, and agreement details.
* Manage error and suspense reports.
* Collaborate with the Head of Copyright and Head of Royalties to ensure client catalogues are registered and maintained.
* Ensure accurate copyright registrations and royalty matching processes.
* Implement procedures to streamline and improve administration.
* Respond to queries from internal and external parties.
* Stay updated with changes in copyright and royalty music publishing.
Requirements:
* Deep understanding of copyright, royalties, and music publishing.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* At least 5 years of experience in music publishing.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Monday.com.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Show initiative and contribute to administrative improvements.
* Proven track record in implementing coherent publishing strategies.
