About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our vibrant and enthusiastic Humanities department at a well-established secondary school in AL4, Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to teach a range of subjects within the Humanities curriculum, including History, Geography, and Religious Education. We are seeking a teacher who is committed to inspiring students and helping them develop a deep understanding of the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
-Teach a range of Humanities subjects, including History, Geography, and Religious Education.
-Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, ensuring inclusivity and supporting all levels of ability.
-Foster critical thinking, curiosity, and independent learning in students.
-Track and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential.
-Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum, ensuring it is up-to-date, engaging, and challenging.
-Encourage students to explore the relevance of Humanities in the modern world.
-Participate in extracurricular activities related to the Humanities subjects, such as school trips, debates, or after-school clubs.
-Work closely with colleagues in the department to maintain high teaching standards and share best practices.
About You:
-A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
-A passion for Humanities, with the ability to teach a broad range of subjects, including History, -Geography, and Religious Education.
-Experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and make complex concepts accessible.
-A creative and engaging approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire students and cultivate a love for Humanities.
-Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage your time and workload.
-A commitment to professional development and a desire to continuously improve your teaching practice.
