Overview:
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing the quality assurance and quality control processes within the facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all products meet strict quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing quality management and a deep understanding of relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams, ensuring all processes are effective and in compliance with internal and external standards.
Develop and implement quality management systems and procedures to maintain consistent product quality.
Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, and other relevant certifications and audits.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production process to enhance quality and reduce defects.
Work closely with production and technical teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement solutions.
Train and develop staff on quality systems, processes, and best practices.
Liaise with customers and suppliers to address any quality concerns and manage product recalls if required.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will possess:
Strong experience in quality management within a food manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, ISO standards, and other relevant certifications.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing quality teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A degree or relevant qualification in food science, quality management, or a related field is preferred.
