COMPLIANCE AUDITOR - NEWCASTLE
Are you an experienced Compliance Auditor looking for a new challenge?
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that practices, records, and controls are in strict compliance with regulations and accreditation requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting monthly quality audits on fee earners, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Performing thorough risk assessments and internal control evaluations, reporting any discrepancies.
- Creating and maintaining a comprehensive quality log, identifying trends and training needs.
- Collaborating and liaising with stakeholders to calibrate audits, implement best practices, and driving performance improvements.
- Analysing historical data to develop quality improvement initiatives and strategies.
- Evaluating audit findings and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions in collaboration with supervisors.
- Contributing to team meetings with insightful communications and managing firm-wide performance.
- Executing interpretations of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Ensuring random and focused audits are performed and completed promptly.
- Preparing detailed quality reports for senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Assisting the Head of Risk and Compliance and COLP with preparations for external audits and compliance assessments.
- Monitoring the implementation of external audit recommendations and executing remedial actions.
- Staying informed about the latest sector regulations and best practices in internal auditing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a regulated environment, preferably within the legal sector. Strong research and analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are essential. While a qualification in this area is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
