About the Role:
As an IT Tutor, you will deliver a range of IT Courses and apprenticeships both in-house and at clients sites across Northern Ireland. You will be tutoring a wide variety of learners from those looking to understand the basics & fundamentals of IT and using IT packages, to those exploring a career within IT. This position offers diverse responsibilities and the chance to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering a range of IT courses, including IT Levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as Essential IT skills at Levels 1 and 2.
2. Providing face-to-face and online instruction while travelling throughout Northern Ireland. A company car will be at your disposal for any travel required.
3. Active involvement in the enrolment, monitoring, and assessment of learners.
4. Crafting individualised learning plans and offering support tailored to each learner's needs.
5. Acting as an academic and pastoral mentor to learners.
Requirements:
6. A degree in IT or an equivalent qualification, with IT making up 50% of the subject studied. (If you do not have a degree but have an A-Level or equivalent in IT, please send us your CV and we can discuss trainee IT Tutor roles.)
7. GCSE or equivalent (Grade A*-C) in English and mathematics.
8. Current Essential Skills tutors who were qualified before 1st August 2012 do not require a relevant degree.
9. A valid, clean driving licence.
10. Ideally you will have experience in mentoring or tutoring, preferably within the IT field.
11. Ability to manage your time effectively.
12. Experience in managing learning and development plans.
13. Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
14. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
15. Effective time management skills.
16. An A1 Assessors Award, or willingness to work towards one upon employment (desirable but not essential).
17. A certificate in teaching, PGCE, or equivalent, or willingness to work towards one upon employment (desirable but not essential).
18. Willingness to travel across Northern Ireland to provide support to learners.
19. A team player, an adept listener, and an effective communicator.
Location:
Our client has learners & apprentices right across Northern Ireland and we would do our best to assign you to learners within a distance you are happy to travel to. We'd be especially keen to receive CV's from candidates in the Enniskillen, Omagh, Strabane, Derry - Londonderry, Cookstown, Newry, however if you're based anywhere in NI and willing to travel we'd like to see your CV.
This is a Monday - Friday role, however if you are looking for part-time or flexible working schedule then we'd be happy to review your CV.
