An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Medical Secretary to join the Radiology team at the Horton General Hospital, Banbury.
The individual will need to be enthusiastic and be able to work flexibly to ensure support is provided for the consultant radiologists, multidisciplinary and administration teams, working together reliably to contribute to the delivery of a first-class service to all users.
Applicants should have the ability to remain calm and think logically under pressure. A positive attitude to maintaining high standards of work and demonstrating excellent communication skills is required.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a team member is essential for this role.
Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial for this post with a confident level of competency and experience in using all Microsoft applications.
The Radiology department is ever evolving, and applicants would need to demonstrate enthusiasm to embrace change.
Main duties of the job
This role will provide secretarial and administration support for the Consultant Radiologists, working with a multidisciplinary team within the department and the wider organisation. In addition to communicating with external health care providers, GP surgeries and patients.
The post will work with the admin team to support Radiology patient pathways, which include inpatient, urgent, cancer, diagnostic and treatment - all of which have individual KPIs which need to be measured.
Radiology admin also ensure patient information is up to date and accurate on both Radiology and Trust wide information systems. They are a further pause in the process for positive patient identification and help to highlight patient ID queries which supports IRMER compliance.
