Classroom Support Worker - Reading

A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a Classroom Support Worker in a primary school in Reading. The school are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
The role as a Classroom Support Worker:
To support students who struggle with their class work
Facilitate a sun and friendly learning environment
To provide support to the class teacher
To help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and classroom boards
To keep the classroom a tidy and presentable environment
To encourage children to do their best
Help manage classroom behaviour
Listen to the children read and practice their phonicsThe successful Classroom Support Worker:
You will need to be calm and compassionate. Personality is everything!
You must be able to take initiative well and problem solve
Have some experience working with children, desirable but not essential
You must be patient. Some students struggle with additional learning needs and need someone supportive to help them get through the school day
You must understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
Must have right to live/work in the UK - we not offer sponsorships** If you do not have a DBS certificate - we can support your application
