CLASS 2 DRIVER
WORKING 5 DAYS OUT OF 7 (ROTA PROVIDED)

PAY RATE: £15.00 - £30.00 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Southend.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
To be considered for this role you MUST have a minimum of 24 months of continuous driving experience.

Basic: £15.00
Overtime after 8 hours: £22.50
Saturday: £22.50
Sunday: £30.00
Bank Holiday: £30.00
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens)
Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Two person team deliveries to residential addresses
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Heavy lifting
As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:
Must be able to work as a team
Have a minimum of 24 months continuous experience driving Category C vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Must be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment
Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
After successful Assessment, there will be on-the-job training
