TEAM LEADER
Hours: Full time (37.5 per week)
Shifts: Days, Nights and Afternoons rotating (17% in addition to hourly rate)
Pay: Depends on experience ranging from £21.40 to £23.60
Pay basis: Weekly paid
Other: Call out (Requirement to be on call on rotation, full payment details TBC)
Our client based in Sheffield, A leading Manufacturing business in the Medical Equipment sector is looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader into the business.
What we want from the person (Key):
* They need to be adaptable and enjoy the challenge of variety.
* They need to be able to quickly demonstrate aptitude – we want someone who can hit the ground running and get stuck in.
* They need experience from within a maintenance background, ideally with a variety of equipment.
* They can demonstrate practical experience (at interview they may for example be asked to explain what a drawing is showing or how they would approach a task)
* They need to be able to react to changes in work priorities without compromise in quality.
* They need to demonstrate a proven, systematic approach to problem solving.
What you will do:
* Plan work on a daily and weekly basis to achieve the current plan.
* Liaise with internal customers and suppliers to prioritise workload
* Ensure sufficient hours are available to achieve the plan.
* Supervise and develop team members.
* Facilitate team meetings.
* Instigate first level disciplinary procedures.
* Audit Health & Safety equipment in line with schedule.
* Ensure all work carried out is in accordance with relevant Health & Safety guidelines.
* Ensure sufficient spares for critical plant and general use are available in Maintenance stores.
* Ensure Stores and Maintenance department are kept clean and safe.
* Liaise with all departments to ensure preventative maintenance tasks can be completed within the relevant time scales.
* Audit department and quality of work on a daily basis.
* Be responsible for data ownership (drawings, manuals etc.)
* Facilitate Continuous Improvement activities.
* Ensure the company's quality policy is understood and implemented.
* Maintain a clean working environment.
* Monitor and review maintenance team for performance, training and future development. Steer team towards improvements in safety and performance
Education Qualifications:
* High School or Equivalent (Required), Apprenticeship (preferred)
Experience qualifications:
* Proven hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic industrial experience (Required)
* Recognised Electrical training/ experience.
* Fault finding across a variety of control systems
* Reading and interpreting drawings Skills/attributes:

* Communication at all levels
