You'll take the lead on the design and launch of new programs for our customers, oversee programs that are already running, and find ways to improve them. Key job responsibilities
1. Launch programs, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables.
2. Use data to understand operational challenges and create continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Work with a variety of other Amazon departments to identify and leverage best practices.
4. Within a program environment, influence without authority a multidisciplinary team in overcoming challenges and drive progress.
5. Manage stakeholders and internal processes, and define standards.
A day in the life
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You'll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, share your expertise, and identify exciting new opportunities. You will take the lead in designing their implementation, encouraging and supporting your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways to improve processes.
About the team
Amazon couldn't deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you'll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you'll help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient. We prioritize safety, as our people are our priority.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* A degree.
* Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
* Experience identifying and resolving complex issues.
* Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment.
* Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, or transportation logistics.
* Experience with Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques.
* Experience in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
