The Yorkshire School of Endoscopy is a National Training School delivering core JAG (Joint Advisory Group for Endoscopy) endoscopy training to all doctors and nurses around the UK. The school is also linked with YETA (Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy) and is the core hub for delivering immersive training to trainees throughout the region.
A vacancy has become available to join the training school in delivering core endoscopy training as a Clinical Endoscopist Training Lead. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Endoscopist who can support the expansion of the school and to provide ongoing support to immersive trainees and all UK trainees attending our centre for endoscopy training. The postholder will provide expert professional advice to develop, lead and implement the education and training strategy for endoscopy training in our region. You should have a passion for education, an experienced understanding of the Endoscopy service provision, training and education, with experience of working as part
of a multi-professional team and a track record of delivering projects to deadlines. You will be an experienced leader and an expert in your own endoscopy practice.
The post holder will be expected to deliver national JAG training course in adherence with JAG guidelines and protocols, developing the education and training offer within the region.
The postholder will also lead on delivering immersive endoscopy training as part of the core programme of activity in accordance with the national NHSE programme of delivery and the YETA Academy.
