This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician with well-established analytical and diagnostic abilities to join our Interface Team, the Adult Musculoskeletal Assessment and Management Service, in a post that will support your development towards an Advanced Practitioner.
The role will mainly be based between Ellesmere Port Hospital and the Fountains Centre in Chester, working within the AMAMS team to deliver high quality, efficient and effective assessment and diagnosis of undiagnosed patients referred in by GP.
Main duties of the job
* You will need to be able to clinically reason at a high level and identify correct pathways of care for a wide range of MSK patients with safety always a priority.
* You will also play a key role in supporting staff learning and clinical education, acting as a role model and clinical supervisor to a range of staff.
* You will be expected to successfully complete a range of competencies to fully develop the knowledge and skills required for the role. We will support an ACP apprenticeship for the right candidate, so a willingness to study is essential.

* The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds
* Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility
* Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
The Trust employs over 6258 staff (headcount) which includes temporary bank staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
* Evidence of post-graduate training to masters equivalent level
* HCPC Registration
* Membership of professional body and specialist interest group
Experience
* Substantial post-graduate experience with experience of working at an advanced level
* Sound evidence of CPD and reflective practice
* Sound knowledge of current best practice specific to specialist area
* Knowledge of professional ethics and their application in practice
* Knowledge and application of the principles of clinical governance
* Sound knowledge and understanding of health, safety and risk management
* Supervisory skills and/or first line management experience
