About the Role
Cover Genius operates mainly as an MGA, distributing policies via embedded protection. However, Cover Genius also has meaningful risk bearing capacity within its internal carriers - collectively referred to as “Asservo”, which means “I protect” in Latin. Cover Genius is seeking an Insurance Operations Manager to join our Asservo team in ensuring the efficient functioning of Cover Genius’s internal carriers by managing and optimising Asservo’s entity management, process management and data management.
What will your day look like? You will...
* Be the main (or additional where necessary) point of contact for Asservo entities for the local Asservo managers, fronting insurer partners, reinsurers and brokers and coordinating responses to their concerns; preparing presentations for entity management / board meetings.
* Oversee the processes necessary to run a multinational insurer: there are many processes that need to be run to make an insurer function and you will be responsible for making sure it is understood who is carrying them out, when and coordinating processes that require input from multiple sources.
* Ensuring risk controls are documented and carried out.
* Maintaining contract and due diligence data as well as other crucial data inputs.
* Coordinating Asservo efforts for internal Asservo projects and cross functional team projects.
To help us level up, you'll ideally have:
* 5+ years experience in working in underwriting operations or claims operations.
* Experience in designing efficient processes and overseeing their smooth functioning.
* Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
* Problem solving and advocating for pragmatic solutions to real problems.
* Proven ability to foster and develop relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to independently take initiative on projects.
* Ability to adapt quickly to a start-up pace environment and culture.
