Have an awareness of wider business and supplier issues and a consideration of other priorities.

Communicate with confidence both verbally and in writing to influence key decisions and drive activities forward.
Draft formal documentation in line with legal, commercial and policy requirements (e.g. preparing board papers and responding to ministerial requests etc.).
Articulate your business area’s role and understand how it fits into the wider departmental picture.
Performance Management
Drive quality improvement by holding suppliers accountable against contractual measures.
Work collaboratively with suppliers on understanding root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate improvement measures.
Analyse data and use MI to understand performance trends and emerging risks.
Ensure that contractual quality and consistency standards are measured in line with contractual obligations and departmental policies and procedures.
In addition, the role may require specific ad hoc duties, as and when required and in line with operational needs. Some travel will be required which may require overnight stays e.g. to meet with suppliers.
