Meridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Registered Care Manager to lead a Children's Residential Home in Swindon. The company is dedicated to providing the highest standards of care and support to children in need. They believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment to grow and thrive, and we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead our team and ensure the delivery of outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of care staff.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks, including Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations.
* Monitor and maintain the safety and well-being of all children in care.
* Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the children's needs.
* Liaise with external agencies, including social workers, schools, and families.
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children and staff.
* Conduct regular team meetings, training, and development sessions for staff.
* Ensure proper record-keeping and reporting of all incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns.
Requirements for the Role:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willing to complete within 6 months of starting).
* Experience in a managerial role within Children's Residential Care.
* In-depth knowledge of Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse workload.
* A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
* Enhanced DBS check.
