Overview of role:
The purpose of this role is to provide support for students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN) and, where appropriate, contribute to the day-to-day running of the Academy. You will be supporting children under the age of 5.
Key details:
* Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Shifts to be confirmed at interview)
* Term-time Only (39 weeks)
* Wage: £6.40 per hour. This will increase to £7.55 in April 2025.
* Location: Oasis Academy Hadley, South Street Ponders End, Enfield, London, EN3 4PX
Apprenticeship details:
* Qualification: Level 3 Early Years
* Duration of course: 19 months
* Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated No 1 Training Provider in the UK)
* All learning delivered online/ remotely alongside placement at school.
Full Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support pupils’ learning in the Nursery, including working with individuals, groups and whole classes using knowledge, experience, specialist skills and training.
* Use specialist knowledge/experience to provide appropriate support to pupils in relation to their individual needs.
* Contribute to the creation of an appropriate learning environment through display and classroom organisation.
* Contribute to the creation of appropriate learning resources.
* Assist EYFS Lead/Teachers in providing support to pupils.
* Provide pastoral support to pupils within the school environment.
* Assist children with personal care (e.g., changing nappies, toilet training).
* Assist children in matters of personal needs and their general health including first aid and welfare matters.
* Provide structured support in accordance with specific work programmes designed and supervised by individual teachers/EYFS Leaders.
* Contribute to raising standards by ensuring high expectations are promoted for pupils.
* Involvement in the implementation of individual/education/behaviour/support/mentoring plans.
* Provide general support to pupils, ensuring their safety by complying with good H&S practice.
* Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out-of-school activities as required.
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
* Support the teacher in the development and implementation of individual education/behaviour plans.

Qualifications Requirements:
* GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) English (Grade 4) essential.
* GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) Maths (Grade 4) essential.
