Reception Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of Reception students. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and ensure high standards of teaching and learning. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, keeping them updated on their child’s progress and development. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide activities as required. Reception Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Reception, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Passion for high-quality teaching and nurturing young children in their early years. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. A team-oriented approach and commitment to contributing to the wider school community.
