Control Systems Engineer Overview:The Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing and integrating hardware and software to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the business's full range of products.
Control Systems Engineer Role Responsibilities:Design, develop and integrate control systems to meet specified requirements.Develop code using the software development process.Support the commissioning of products, from initial debug to functionality verification.Devise, execute and document control system integration tests that verify specific sub-system or machine level requirements.Support continuous improvement by being involved in the generation and updating of internal design and management processes.Interface with other areas of the Engineering function to ensure the efficient integration of the control system into the wider product.Be able to work on projects ranging from sub-system concepts to proven production.Manage project work and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Control Systems Engineer Job Holder Requirements:A strong academic background.A degree in a relevant field (candidates without a degree will be considered if they can demonstrate extensive and relevant industry experience).Experience in designing and developing complex electro-mechanical systems for off-highway equipment.Experience in software development for electro-mechanical systems.Knowledge of PLC logic, programming and test using CODESYS (especially using FBD Functional Block Diagram and ST Structured Text languages).Knowledge of control of hydraulic valves.Experience in software development using MS Visual Studio (C, C#, C++) advantageous.
