This role is a 10-week contractual role with chances of extension.
Full-time and fully remote role.
As a Personal Injury Claims Handler MOJ, you will be responsible for triaging personal injury claims through the MOJ portal and on a direct claimant basis. You may also handle your own portfolio of OIC and MOJ claims. You will have experience of handling liability disputes, managing customer expectations, and a working understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol, OIC claims, low-value MOJ portal claims, and current case law.
You will contribute to the development of the Personal Injury department by helping the junior members of the claims department with training, referrals, and mentoring.

Responsibilities
1. Triaging all OIC/MOJ/Small claims/direct claimant claims.
2. Handling OIC/MOJ/small claims/direct claimant claims and non-MOJ personal injury claims.
3. Assessing liability for an accident and offering advice and guidance to customers, giving an objective opinion on prospects and advising the customer where liability will rest.
4. Identifying and reporting to the Personal Injury Claims Manager any claims where poor prognostic indicators are present.
5. Accurately recording the information given by the customer concerning the circumstances of the incident.
6. Improving customer claims experience by identifying process/control gaps in panel performance and agreeing relevant actions.
7. Ensuring our customers are treated fairly and that they receive world-class customer service in accordance with industry and company guidelines.
8. Supporting cost, service, and process efficiency projects across the department, as well as participating in departmental projects.
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
1. Minimum 12 months' experience of handling personal injury claims.
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in handling liability claims.
3. Working understanding of cradle-to-grave claims handling, covering:
1. FNOL
2. Liability including split liability
3. Credit hire
4. Fraud awareness
5. Personal injury claims (MOJ and non-MOJ)
6. Principles of indemnity
7. Requirements under the RTA and Article 75
4. Time management and organization skills.
5. Tact and assertiveness when dealing with internal colleagues and Senior Management Team.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Detail-oriented with the ability to identify salient points from claims files.
