We are looking for a Sales Advisor who has excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to convert enquiries into new customers, provide quotes, and process orders with a sense of urgency. This position is for a well-established Building Supplies company based in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, West Midlands.

Job Overview
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Sales Advisor who can develop sales in line with targets and budget, ensuring sales performance is maximised. As the Sales Advisor, you will focus on the day-to-day sales activity in the branch; dealing with customer calls, pricing enquiries, orders, and delivery instructions. DUTIES
Your Duties As The Sales Advisor Include:
* Maximise sales and margin by building relationships with customers.
* Develop strong customer relationships through excellence of service.
* Ensure that branch and company guidelines on margins are followed.
* Proactively look for opportunities to upsell and gain add-on sales.
* Identify and develop sales opportunities with new customers and across differing market sectors.
* Recommend new sales and margin opportunities for products, customers, and markets.
* Place direct sales orders, organise delivery times, and communicate with customers.
* Understand your local competition and what they can offer.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven Track Record in Building Materials Sales: Demonstrated success in a sales environment within the construction or building materials sector.
* Exceptional Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and deliver consistently high levels of service.
* Clear and Persuasive Communication: Skilled in communicating product features and benefits, both verbally and in written form, to customers.
* Proficient in Point-of-Sale and Inventory Management Systems (Desirable): Comfortable using computer systems for order processing, stock checks, and customer data management.
* Driven to Exceed Sales Targets: Proactively identifies opportunities to upsell and cross-sell, maximising revenue and customer satisfaction.
* Expert Consultative Selling Skills: Ability to provide expert advice and guidance, recommending appropriate products and solutions to meet customer project requirements.
