Electrician
Location: Anderson High School, Lerwick, Shetland
Contract: Full time Permanent
Hours of work: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm

Your new role
As an Electrician you’ll be responsible for:
* Ensuring that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and our clients.
* Undertaking planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work under the supervision of the Team Leader.
* Ensuring the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools.
* Operating at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal, etc., in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
* Maintaining asset histories, maintenance records, and helpdesk reports, informing the Maintenance Manager of any follow-up action that may be required.
* Participating in an on-call rota providing 24-hour, 365-day cover to the facilities.
* Reporting all accidents and incidents as appropriate.
* Providing support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
* Maintaining an awareness of RFM’s policies, procedures, and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
* Carrying out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.
About you
* City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition.
* Experience of working within Critical Environments.
* Managing both Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Building Management Control Systems (BMS).
* Good IT skills and fluency with a range of PC packages.
* Knowledge to install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and ability to fill in correctly the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.
* Experience in Managing Permit to Work Systems i.e., Working at Height, use of high-level and powered access equipment, as well as the use of portable and fixed ladders.
The successful applicant will be required to submit to relevant DBS/PVG background screening before starting in the job.
