Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our Learning Disability Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (LD CAMHS) in Cheshire (Ellesmere Port & Chester).
In this rewarding role, you’ll work under the direct supervision of experienced clinicians, helping to deliver vital support to children and families. You’ll assist in preventative work, behavioural assessments, and developing Positive Behavioural Support Plans and sleep strategies—empowering families to create positive change.
You'll also play a key role in co-working groups and sessions, attending multi-professional meetings, and contributing to Annual Reviews and safeguarding discussions (TAF, CIN, CP).
Key Responsibilities – Make a Real Impact!
* Support Patient Care – Assist in assessments and tailored care planning under the supervision of senior clinicians, ensuring high-quality support for children and young people.
* Team & Multi-Agency Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams and external agencies, attending relevant meetings and contributing to multi-professional discussions.
* Safeguarding & Compliance – Adhere to all Trust policies, safeguarding procedures, and data protection regulations, ensuring a safe and professional environment.
* Ongoing Learning & Development – Stay up to date with the latest therapeutic interventions, participate in research projects, quality audits, and training to enhance service delivery.
* Effective Communication & Advocacy – Maintain clear records, provide verbal and written reports, signpost families to additional support, and advocate for children and families within multi-agency settings.
