Our Client are a £150million turnover main contractor and are now the principal contractor on a 200 unit RC Frame residential new build scheme in SE London / Kent. The project has 18 months to go and currently has a Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor on the scheme, it now requires an additional Quantity Surveyor to support with the procurement of the final packages and subcontractor package management on the rest of the packages.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will;
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects
* Manage project budgets, ensuring compliance and control
* Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
* Provide regular financial reports and updates to stakeholders
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure cost-effective project delivery
* Assist in dispute resolution and final account settlements
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction quantity surveying role
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and practices
* Proficiency in cost management software and tools
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
