THE ROLE
As a Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our applicant clients to become authorised in the UK to bring exciting and innovative payments solutions to the market. You will support the growth of an award-winning payments practice, under the supervision of trailblazers and experts in this industry. With our deep domain expertise within the payments industry, we will enable you to have the opportunity to engage in a variety of advisory, authorisation and assurance projects across a diverse range of exciting and cutting-edge clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead our authorisations team to deliver successful applications to the FCA for leading, innovative payments businesses.
2. Maintain broad knowledge and expertise of relevant regulation in order to offer guidance and thorough reviews of clients’ governance, systems and controls, reporting arrangements, assessments of their compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines and understanding best practice.
3. Keep abreast of advancements within the profession, legislation and regulation in the UK with a view of implementing changes to increase engagement efficiency, increased client scope, and in order to meet clients' needs and mandates.
4. Devise and lead compliance training for fscom client staff.
5. Develop key relationships with fscom client stakeholders with a view to generating work from these prospective clients for the firm.
6. Engage and network with prospective clients and represent fscom at industry relevant events and conferences.
7. Maximise the capabilities of fscom delivery team in provision of regulatory services through the provision of coaching, training and ongoing mentoring and feedback in order to develop individual team members.
8. Oversee and conduct onsite and remote activities to advise, assess, analyse and report in line with the engagement project requirements and using relevant frameworks and regulations.
9. Develop presence as a “thought leader” through writing blogs/white papers, speaking engagements and networking at key industry events.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. 5+ years of experience in financial services regulatory environment interpreting and/or applying regulatory requirements.
2. Ability to deliver pragmatic and practical solutions to business problems.
3. Ability to make complex requirements simple and approachable.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically for building solutions for the company.
5. Experience of influencing senior managers and persuading senior people to implement change.
6. Effective communicator with a track record of succinct and clear writing and presentation skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
1. Evidence of further professional development such as ACAMS, ICA OR CISI memberships.
2. A background in managing a small team or more junior staff.
