Myself and my client are seeking an exceptional Associate Headteacher to join the dedicated team at a well-established 65-place SEMH school in Somerset.

Your Role:
As Associate Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care. Responsibilities include:
* Leadership & Strategy – Collaborate with the Headteacher and senior team to drive school improvement and maintain the school’s Good Ofsted rating.
* Teaching & Learning – Champion innovative teaching methods and interventions tailored to SEMH students.
* Safeguarding & Wellbeing – Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports students' personal and academic growth.
* Staff Development – Mentor and inspire a talented team, ensuring high-quality teaching and professional development.
* Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies.
About You:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader with:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant experience in SEMH or SEN settings
* A track record of successful school leadership and improvement
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and curriculum development
* A commitment to student-centred education and inclusive practice
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
