Position Description; Scope of the role;
Applicants should be able to read Engineering drawings, use standard measuring equipment and have an understanding of general machining principles, ideally both manual and CNC.
Tasks will include setting and operating CNC O-D, I-D and Track Grinding machines, editing programmes as necessary, making offsets as required, ensuring parts are manufactured within allotted time and conform to drawing.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
* Setting / Operating CNC Grinding Machines, Manual Grinding Machines, and carrying out manual processes within the area as well as around the factory generally.
* Multi-manning.
* Ensuring processed parts conform to drawing.
* Ensuring parts are processed in the allowed time.
* Ensuring all documentation is accurate.
* Supporting the area in carrying out alternative tasks as required.
* Supporting other team members as required.
* Achieving Production / Arrears / Quality / Efficiency targets as identified by Production Management.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential

Desirable
* NVQ in Engineering manufacture or equivalent / Advanced Modern Apprenticeship.
* Previous experience of working in an engineering environment.
* English Language and Maths to GCSE grade C or above.
* Computer Literate (ideally with a recognised qualification).
* Experience in the use of standard measurement equipment.
* Can demonstrate good numeric skills.
Hours of work
Overtime available when required.
A Shift: Monday to Thursday 6am to 1:35pm; No Premium Friday 6am to 12:45pm.
B Shift: Monday to Thursday 1:25pm to 9:05pm; 20% Premium Friday 12:35pm to 7pm.
