The candidate objective is to build relationships with our prospective customers and create value and differentiation by providing system & architecture expert pre-sales support.
Some of the responsibilities include:
* Introduce and promote the complete industrial automation Hardware and Software offer in terms of features, strengths, and value proposition to customers.
* Develop architecture designs and support the customer or the system integrator throughout the development of a project and, at times, during commissioning.
* Provide recommendations advising the customer on advanced issues (Principles, feasibility, limits & constraints, performance, etc.)
* Answer deep technical questions on integration/compatibility of components inside an architecture.
* Build proof of concept demos to help the customer visualize the main solution concepts.
* Assist in trade shows and internal presentations.
* Share Success Stories and Best practices with the team and the global Schneider Electric community.
Schneider Electric has an extensive Hardware and Software offer and some of the technologies the candidate would be required to support are Modicon M262, PacDrive 3 robotics, Lexium Cobots, Lexium cartesian robots, Lexium servo motors, functional safety and the wider range of Schneider products such as Inverter Drives, HMI's, energy management devices, etc.
Schneider Electric is looking for an Automation Engineer for targeting the Machine Builder and Industrial End User sector. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven engineer with a passion for automation technology, as well as commercial awareness for a customer-facing role working side by side with our Sales team. The candidate must have a great ability to learn and embrace new technologies, good interpersonal skills, be dynamic, flexible, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer experience. Previous experience in similar roles or an Engineering degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Software, Control or similar is required. We offer great opportunities for training and personal development in the field of Automation technology.
The role requires the candidates to hold a driver license and be available to visit customer sites across the country with a company car. We are open to candidates based anywhere within the UK. The role is 'travelling appointment', with a balance of time spent at customers site, at the Schneider Electric Coventry office and working from home.
