Role: Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant
A school in Wolverhampton has an excellent opportunity for a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). You will build rapport and create positive relationships to help students regulate their behaviour.
If you have experience as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about improving outcomes for young people, this role is suitable for you. You should be outgoing and confident in dealing with behavioural challenges and re-engaging students in education.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH in managing behaviour and improving academic results.
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to address SEMH needs.
* Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies or willingness to learn is essential.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, social work, or related field is desirable but not essential.
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
* Qualifications in Team Teach and experience with SEMH students are preferred but not mandatory.
