Senior Maintenance Technician, Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering - IntlRME
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is central to Amazon's commitment to innovation. As Amazon evolves and adapts, this team ensures that the tools and technologies we use do as well. As a Senior RME Technician, you'll help us stay one step ahead, adopting the latest technologies and identifying new and efficient ways of working. In this role, you’ll pay close attention to our processes to help maintain our high standards, and you’ll implement upgrades to elevate that standard even higher.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Demonstrate best practices in using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure compliance with correct processes.
2. Track equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks; schedule additional servicing when required.
3. Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
4. Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations, ensuring packages are processed as quickly as possible.
5. Support in finding ways to continually improve systems and standardize processes across the Brazil network.
A Day in the Life
In every shift, you’ll lead a team to ensure everyone has the equipment they need and that it’s running properly. This involves monitoring processes to ensure regulations and policies are followed and ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime.
With everything you observe on your shifts, you’ll suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive and implement those improvements across a Brazil-wide function. You’ll also monitor processes with tools like Scada to guarantee their performance, as well as work closely with your line manager to assist with administrative tasks.
This role is located at one of our operational sites. You’ll work shift patterns, which may include some weekends and nights. As you develop your experience within this exciting part of Amazon, you’ll be well-placed to progress into more senior roles.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
2. High school or equivalent diploma.
3. Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
4. Experience in automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), and work order management.
5. Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in vendor management.
2. Experience with robotic maintenance.
