About Us: The Occupational Therapy service promotes the independence and well-being of adults and children across Redcar and Cleveland. We are a friendly, supportive team championing integrated working practices across health and social care.
Role Overview: As an Occupational Therapy Officer, you will complete assessments in the community and in a clinic. These include property access assessments; bathing assessments; assessment of transfers; stair assessments and re-housing assessments. You will provide advice and guidance, assistive equipment, and minor/major adaptations (e.g., level access showers). You will work alongside our other social care colleagues and liaise with external partners in health and housing.

Requirements:
* Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or willingness and ability to obtain this
* Full UK driving license
* Previous experience working with older people, disabled people, or vulnerable adults
* Ability to produce non-complex assessments and documentation
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
* Computer literacy
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience of working with health and social care
* Experience of working with children with disabilities
* Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to Occupational Therapy in social care
