A highly established business that has gone through a period of rapid change is looking for an Account Payable Manager to join their finance team based in Braintree.
This is a great opportunity to lead several projects, including a system implementation, influence processes, support business expansion, and work alongside a dynamic team.

What you will do:
* Provide high-level support to Finance and the wider business as a key member of the finance department.
* Work within a fast-paced, high-volume, transactional role requiring a high-caliber individual with a proven track record in similar-sized businesses.
* Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Purchase Ledger function and all related outflows.
* Identify and lead efficiency projects, working closely with the SLT to implement improvements.
* Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox, posting supplier invoices and documents, ensuring correct coding in the system.
* Lead weekly supplier and employee expense payment runs.
* Ensure approvals are managed and followed up weekly with the designated approver.
* Reconcile supplier statements and investigate anomalies promptly.
* Process all Standing Orders and Direct Debits accurately and maintain a register of these payments.
* Conduct month-end reviews of the Creditors ledger, reporting and commenting on supplier debit balances.
* Resolve debit balances in a timely manner and report on this during the month-end close.
