Job summary Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Nurse (RMN) ? Are you looking to work in a dedicated and supportive team? We are looking for a RMN to join our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based at Whiteleaf Centre / Aylesbury. The post is full time however there is availability of part time hours and flexible working. We are a friendly, supportive and proactive team with a culture of high standards of care and any successful applicant will need to be committed to maintaining this. We aim to deliver well-coordinated patient care and to share our respective skills and knowledge with one another. This role is eligible for an incentive scheme of £3,500 paid at intervals over an 18-month period. All payments are pro-rata, non-pensionable and subject to a clawback clause. Main duties of the job Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team you will be expected to offer assessments and interventions to our patient group of older adults with mental health needs. You'll be managing a caseload of patients with a variety of mental health conditions both functional and organic as well as supporting our duty and triage function. The MDT is made up of Medical, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Psychology colleagues and we highly regard one another's professional background and contribution to the care of our patients. We view supervision as fundamental to the functioning of the team both clinically and in terms of the well being of our staff. This development role is ideal if you have experience of working in older adult mental health services and have little or no understanding of the challenges that working with this client group brings. It is also great if you have transferable skills and are motivated to learn about our client group we would encourage you to apply. This role will require you to travel between community locations, you must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role.
