Locations: Field based - M62 Corridor
Qualification: Level 3, Information Communications Technician
Join Telent's Apprenticeship Programme to work on projects impacting the UK and Ireland. Develop your skills and earn industry-recognized qualifications while working in diverse environments, including offices, outdoors, BT exchanges, data centres, and emergency service locations. Your role involves installing, maintaining, and testing telecommunications equipment, understanding emergency radio communications, optical fibre, IP networks, and fulfilling project requirements.
What you’ll do:
* Work in various environments including offices, outdoors, and emergency locations.
* Install, maintain, and test site equipment.
* Work on emergency service vehicles.
* Learn about VHF/RF/Microwave systems, optical fibre, IP routers, and networks.
* Understand customer and contract requirements.
* Complete risk assessments and adhere to health and safety standards.
Who you are & what to prepare for:
* Willing to work at heights, outdoors, and travel across the UK.
* No prior experience required; full training provided.
* Right attitude, commitment, and eagerness to learn.
* Own a vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, and PPE.
* Effective communication skills.
* Logical thinker and problem solver.
* Physically capable and normal colour vision.
The Requirements:
* At least 5 GCSEs Grade 4 or higher, including Maths, English, and Science or IT.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Full UK driving license.
* Over 18 by September 2025.
* Able to pass security clearance and drug tests.
Programme Specifics:
* Duration: 24 months.
* Starting salary: £17,500, increasing during the programme.
* Qualification: Level 3 Information Communications Technician.
* Support from training provider Bragd.
* Primarily field-based with office and college visits.
