An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Controller to join our Secondary Programme team, reporting into the Control Account Manager based at our Raynesway facility in Derby.
In this key position, you will take responsibility for the control and delivery of appropriately complex packages of work or aspects of project portfolios. You will monitor, review and report the status of projects/project portfolios in accordance with the requirements defined in the Project Management Plan and agreed with the Programme Manager.

What you will be doing:
1. Accountable for the effective and successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work, establish, develop and maintain the documentation necessary to deliver the package of work
2. Responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of plans/schedules that reflect the work required to deliver the package of work
3. Lead the change management process for the package of work including Programme/Product Change Boards (PCB) and Baseline Change Requests (BCR)
4. Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures
5. Report the status of projects/project portfolios in accordance with the requirements of the project
6. Manage and report variances to project baseline and report project Key Performance Indicators, review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification
Who we're looking for:
1. Degree qualified or equivalent
2. Project Management experience, showing an understanding of the project lifecycle, risk management, cost management and planning
3. Previous exposure to a customer-facing role
4. Experience of developing schedules of work (preferably using Primavera P6, but not essential)
5. The ability to work with minimum supervision in order to deliver results and to work in ambiguous situations, whilst working to tight timescales and achieving quality outputs on time.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
