Job Responsibilities:
1. To be at the heart of transformational projects, building effective relationships across wider stakeholder groups to support our business objectives.
2. To work with colleagues across the Council and beyond, drawing on experts, and building and maintaining long-lasting collaborative relationships.
3. To be involved (on occasion leading) several projects to accelerate business and economic growth in South Kesteven, all aimed at ensuring the district reaches its potential for supporting local businesses to grow and expand.
4. To ensure the Council maximises opportunities and outcomes associated with external funding to deliver against South Kesteven District Council’s Corporate Plan aiming to deliver the vision for vibrant communities, sustainable futures: a place to call home.
5. To provide dynamic and innovative leadership in developing opportunities for economic growth throughout South Kesteven with a focus on inward investment; skills; the visitor economy, place making, and the promotion of business opportunities in both town and rural settings.
6. To turn the information and intelligence passed through organisations and identified via routine liaison with colleagues, specialist departments and at meetings into high-quality briefings, slides, and reports. This approach will inform and task departmental officers and support elected Councillors and senior officers in relation to major cross-cutting issues for the Council and for South Kesteven.
7. To motivate, influence, nurture and engage both internally and externally, and develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, essential to delivering high-quality services and raising South Kesteven’s profile at sub-national and national levels.
