They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join their dynamic team and oversee the successful delivery of projects within Norwich and surrounding areas. Job description As a Construction Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead and motivate site teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Site Management: Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including site inductions and risk assessments. Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality control documentation. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to the required standards. Monitor and control project costs and budgets. Ensure timely delivery of materials and resources. Proactively identify and resolve any site-related issues or delays. Health and Safety: Implement and enforce the company's health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular site inspections and audits. Promote a positive safety culture on site. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage site teams, including direct labour and subcontractors. Conduct regular site meetings and toolbox talks. Provide clear and concise instructions to site personnel. Manage performance and address any disciplinary issues. Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, and other stakeholders. Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates. Address any client concerns or queries promptly and professionally. Quality Control: Ensure all work is carried out to the required quality standards. Conduct regular quality inspections and address any defects. Implement and maintain a robust quality control system. Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements Essential Requirements: • Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager on similar projects. • Valid CSCS card (Site Manager or equivalent). • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., CDM regulations). • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification. • First Aid at Work certification. • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Excellent organisational and time management skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Proficient in using construction management software and site reporting tools • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Experience working for a Main Contractor with project values between £1m-35m. • Valid UK driving licence. • Must be willing to work within Norwich and surrounding areas. • Right to work in the UK. Desirable Requirements: • NVQ/HNC/HND in Construction Management or a related field. • NBOSH. • Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) • Experience in residential, commercial, or public sector projects. • Temporary Works Supervisor training.
