The Moor to Sea community Nursing Team covering Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth and Totnes in South Devon are looking for enthusiastic and motivated applicants to join our team. We are keen to interview candidates who have an enthusiastic approach in providing high quality patient centred care for our patients.
Communication is key and we work closely with our larger multi-disciplinary team colleagues, particularly our intermediate care team who we assist in providing nursing care. You should be a competent and confident individual and be able to carry out a large variety of nursing skills independently.

* An acute hospital at Torbay.
* The Community Hospital in Totnes.
* Therapy teams.
* Care agencies.
* Local charitable organisations.

The successful candidate must have a full driving licence. We will offer comprehensive induction and training to prepare all new staff to carry out their duties safely and effectively.
The duties include a wide variety of nursing skills including holistic nursing assessment, palliative care, catheter care, continence care, enhanced wound care, medication administration, and carer support.
This post is for 30 hours per week at Band 5 AFC, but an increase or decrease in these hours would be considered. All staff work out of three sites based in the three market towns of Ashburton, Dartmouth, and Totnes. Due to the large area covered, we embrace innovation and technology to help us achieve the goals of our patients.
Our Moor to Sea team works out of three bases and comprises three friendly close-knit teams. We work very closely, and staff rotate to support each other. This is a beautiful and popular holiday area, and the workload can vary depending on the season. We belong to the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and have close links with the wards and departments at the acute hospital at Torbay hospital and the local community hospital in Totnes.
You must have the ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive, and contentious information, using empathy and reassurance skills, and can provide motivational and negotiation skills in areas where consent/co-operation is required or there may be barriers to understanding.
