Rate of Pay: £20.45 - £26.55 per Hour
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and professional Enforcement Support Officer to join the Revenues team. This role supports Enforcement Agents in the collection of revenue across various income streams, ensuring compliance with legislation, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate data and reports.
Responsibilities:
* Support Enforcement Agents with allocation of casework and administrative tasks.
* Handle complex customer queries via phone, email, and in-person, including complaints.
* Trace absconders and make payment arrangements, ensuring sensitivity to welfare issues.
* Maintain and update databases, ensuring data quality and compliance with GDPR.
* Monitor and manage workload effectively to meet performance targets.
* Provide training and support to trainees or less experienced colleagues as required.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Council Tax, Business Rates, Taking Control of Goods, Insolvency).
Essentials:
* Proven experience in a Revenues or similar environment.
* Detailed knowledge of revenue enforcement legislation, procedures, and court processes.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
* Good administrative and organizational skills, with attention to accuracy and data protection.
* Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends if required.
* Competency in handling challenging situations and delivering customer-focused solutions.
